I would mostly talk about foods in Jakarta, Indonesia. But, when I travel, I would update on them, too =)
Yum Yum
Food is basic needs of our life and let's just say I'm a needy one on this category. I love good food! In this blog, I'd post pic of foods I dine in restaurants and tell what I think about them. I might also cook/bake sometime =)

Gemblong
This is sweet snack named "gemblong". The inside is glutinous rice mixed with coconut then covered in crispy brown sugar...
This one I bought from stall in Pekojan area in Jakarta. It's the nicest gemblong ever.
The inside is really fluffy and when you eat it while it's still hot the outside is crispy while the inside is still moist.
Really nice!

Hi Yurri,
ReplyDeleteThe gemblong looks so good! Where in Pekojan did you buy them? And do you think they will still sell them during the evening?
Do you know the famous nasi uduk ibu Amah in Pekojan area? it's in in the same alley (they're sisters I think)... You can call the nasi uduk at 021-6914356 and ask the address from her.
ReplyDeleteThey open around 5pm until all sold out..
Enjoy :)
Thank you!!
